Shipping Container Converted into Low Temperature Drying Room Using Custom Designed HVAC+R
We’re excited to share the successful completion of a custom-built industrial food drying room for our client in South Australia. This innovative project involved transforming a shipping container into a state-of-the-art, low-temperature drying environment, capable of maintaining temperatures as low as -2°C.
Drying Room Built on the Gold Coast, delivered to SOUTH AUSTRALIA
The drying room was fully constructed and rigorously tested at our Gold Coast facility. After installing the HVAC and monitoring systems and ensuring optimal performance, we carefully dismantled the unit, shipped it to South Australia, and reassembled it on-site.
Precision Humidity Control
Our client needed a consistent 30% RH or less. So, we designed the desiccant dehumidifier and commercial refrigeration system to achieve a stable 30% RH, with the flexibility to go even lower if needed.
Remote Monitoring for Seamless Operations
We installed a tailor-made control system that allows both our team and the client’s head office (located in the city while the drying room is in a remote area) to monitor and manage operations remotely. This feature ensures optimal performance without the need for frequent on-site visits.
Custom Fabric Ducting for Uniform Drying
The fabric ducting system was meticulously designed with evenly spaced perforations along its length. This ensures consistent airflow distribution, delivering cold, dry air evenly across the stacked trays for uniform drying results.
